We hire when we meet the right people

We don’t operate on a traditional hiring cycle.

We tend to bring people into the team when we meet individuals who are clearly a strong fit for the type of work we do. While we’re not actively recruiting for this role, we’re always open to speaking with technicians who are comfortable working across AV systems and interactive hardware.

This role sits across installation, integration, and technical setup - supporting projects delivered into real-world environments.

The Role

This is not a standard AV technician role.

At Voxel, this position sits between AV, hardware, and interactive systems. You’ll be working across installations where video, audio, sensors, and control systems all need to function together.

The role involves both on-site delivery and workshop-based preparation - building, testing, and configuring systems before they go live.

The Work

You would be involved across a range of projects, including:

  • Installation and setup of AV systems (screens, projection, audio)
  • Integration of interactive elements (sensors, microcontrollers, control systems)
  • Pre-build, testing, and configuration of equipment in the workshop
  • On-site installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning

Projects often involve working across AV signal flow, hardware integration, and basic system logic.

How This Fits

This role sits within the technical delivery layer of a project.

You’ll work closely with:

  • Developers and Creative Technologists
  • AV and Production teams
  • Installation and Site Managers

The role is about making sure systems are set up correctly, integrated properly, and functioning reliably once deployed.

The Voxel Standard

We look for technicians who are practical, adaptable, and comfortable working across systems.

  • AV System Knowledge
Understanding of video, audio, and signal flow
  • Hardware Integration
Experience working with sensors, microcontrollers, or interactive systems
  • On-Site Awareness
Confidence working in live environments with tight timelines
  • Problem Solving
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly

What We Look For

  • Experience working in AV, installations, or technical environments
  • Interest or experience in interactive systems and hardware integration
  • Practical, hands-on approach to technical work
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Awareness of show control systems or real-time environments (e.g. Q-SYS, TouchDesigner, Unreal)
